Comments about The Educause annual conference:The Educause annual conference is one of the premier educational technology conferences that I have attended. It is by far the largest conference with over 7,000 participants from colleges and universities around the world. There is a wealth of information, fresh ideas, and practical examples presented at this conference through keynotes, sessions, the vendor hall, and perhaps most valuable is the interchange between the peers and colleagues that are at the event. I have personally found and that the ability to network with colleagues in the field has brought the most influential learning, allowing communication and collaboration even after the event is done and everyone heads back to their own campuses.
--------------------------------------------------------------
joycelorenza

Social Bookmarking

I remember once when I was talking with somebody and I had to talk with somebody in real life I asked the virtual person to wait a second. A second turned into a minute and when I looked back at my screen her avatar was looking at her watch. There is the added non-verbal communication of body language that adds to, and makes those relationships even more real.

It is almost a known fact that, in every institution a camera phone or a multimedia phone doesn't considered good for students due to it's misuse.
But this is for the first time, i have read an article showing the advantage of these hi tech multimedia devices. Yes, the every coin has two sides, thus these gadgets are extremely useful too.

Not sure when this started, but I just noticed that Amazon.com has added support for tagging content. I haven't had a chance to explore it deeply, but it certainly seems noteworthy. My intitial glance at it seemed to suggest that it might be something less than full on support for folksonomies, but like I said, I haven't had a chance to explore it fully yet.
